Archive a Website Before It Shuts Down
Domains expire, companies fold, platforms sunset products. When a site you care about is living its last days, a proper crawl is the difference between a permanent archive and a dead bookmark.
Crawl while the site is still up
Run a full mirror immediately: it follows every link and captures every page and asset while the servers still answer.
Verify the archive
Unzip and click through the copy locally. Check the pages that matter most: the export log lists every page and asset that was downloaded.
Store it redundantly
Keep the ZIP in at least two places (cloud storage plus a local disk). Static archives are small; redundancy is cheap.
Unlike the Wayback Machine, your own archive is complete, private and under your control, with styles and images guaranteed to be present.
